Police Looking To Accept Texting and MMS For Emergencies

I think this is pretty damn cool and ingenious.  According to Engadget, the FCC are planning to have police departments utilize text messages, MMS (picture messaging), and even streaming video in emergency situations.  Just another way technology is improving our lives, in my opinion.  Imagine there are robbers in your house, and you’re hiding in your closet or somewhere where you have to be super quiet to avoid being detected.  Instead of calling the cops and making a ton of noise, you can soon text them that there are intruders in your home, and they will respond accordingly.  Brilliant.

(And I just had to use the image that Engadget used; it’s hilarious)
