Adele – Skyfall

Here it is. Adele has been given the honour of singing the theme song to the next James Bond film, Skyfall, and it is fantastic. It has a very similar feel to Shirley Bassey’s Diamonds Are Forever, which was also the theme song for said James Bond flick. Listen to it below!

Adele – Set Fire to the Rain (Music Video)

So while this isn’t an official music video, it is pretty damn impressive, especially the one who is imitating Adele. When I first saw this, I actually thought it was her. The resemblance is so uncanny, it’s actually scary. Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain is one of the standout tracks from 21, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the music video be released very soon.

I also saw a comment that made me chuckle on YouTube. It went along the lines of “I wouldn’t be surprised if Adele let the creators of this music video use it as the official one, because it’s so well done.”

Adele – Someone Like You (Official Music Video)

Here it is!

The long awaited music video for the smash hit Someone Like You is finally here. It’s very simple and elegant. Filmed in the streets of Paris, the video shows Adele wandering around town, looking very somber. The entire video has a very nostalgic, old school feel to it, and it works. Once again, if you’ve seen Duffy’s Warwick Avenue, this is a very similar video.

Adele – Rolling in the Deep (Lisa Lavie Cover)

This is easily the best cover Lisa Lavie has ever done. Rolling in the Deep is an incredibly hard song to sing, with the notes changing from high to low quickly, and she slays it. You can also tell Lavie is really into her performance as well, as she’s very passionate when she sings. My favourite cover she’s done. Check it out below!

Adele Review – Air Canada Centre – May 18, 2011

I know the Adele experience was two days ago, and I’ve been meaning to write a review sooner rather than later.  I have decided to review my experience (because that’s exactly what it was – an event to appreciate the artist) that evening in a rather unorthodox way.  You’ll know what I mean once it is complete.  It’s very exciting, because I wouldn’t normally do this!  Give me a couple more days once things are finalized, and hopefully the wait will be worth it.

While you’re waiting, enjoy Adele opening the sold out show in Montreal on May 16, 2011, where she opened with her smash hit Hometown Glory and followed it with the flawless I’ll Be Waiting.  One thing to notice – Adele is not only the most beautiful woman I’ve laid my eyes on, but she is someone who genuinely cares about music and nothing else.  She is truly passionate about writing and making music not only for herself, but for her fans, which not a lot of artists can do nowadays.

I Have Two FREE Tickets to Adele!

Yes, you read the title correctly.

In light of the wildly popular and sold-out concert that is taking place this Wednesday, May 18 at the Air Canada Centre, I have scored myself two extra tickets to the Adele show!!  They are currently in my Gmail inbox as we speak, and whoever wins these tickets will have the chance to watch Adele perform with my sister and I!

The rules are simple. Once I reach 350 subscribers to this blog (I’m already at 150, so shouldn’t be that hard) or 1000 Twitter followers (I’m already at almost 400), the contest begins.  If those conditions are met by midnight tomorrow, I will go through the comments on this specific post, and choose whichever one I think is deserving of the pair of Adele tickets. You can say whatever you want.  It honestly doesn’t matter.  The whole point is, I just don’t want to take anybody with me to the Adele concert.  I actually want to choose someone who is fun, full of energy, and most importantly, a true Adele fan.

Let the comments begin!
